About La Oveja Negra inspiration

Rooted in family tradtion

When asked about my favorite childhood memory, I always reminisce about the Carnitas Asadas, aka "BBQs," from my family gatherings in H-Town, surrounded by loved ones all the primos running around and music playing in the background. The scent of freshly chopped cilantro and roasted peppers fills the air, as my mom made her famous salsa, blending it all with a sprinkle of nostalgia and a dash of love.

Every salsa I create is a nod to my roots, a culinary love letter to the flavors that shaped my taste buds and ignited my passion for cooking. With each bite, I aim to share a piece of my heritage, inviting you to taste the rich culture that started it all.

Quiero darte las gracias por enseñarme a ser valiente.Por darme la vida, por ser mi guia y mi amiga. –Te quiero mami
